Shaking, flying, whirling, dancing - feverish dreams take over VOLTA Kammermusikfest with an evening of John Adams and Beethoven. Shaker Loops unfolds like an incantation as seven string players create hypnotic and shimmering textures. The string quintet arrangement of Beethoven’s ‘Kreutzer’ Sonata (with an additional bass) concludes the evening, and the reimagination of this sonata brings the richness of the score to life in a new light.
